Uma vez eu era foda.
Aí todo o mundo ficou mais foda.
Fim da história.
The couple sat on the top of the hill, illuminated by the shine of the full moon.
"It's hard to talk to you. You never get what I mean right", said the guy.
"I'm sorry", said the girl.
He sighed.
"No, it's not your fault. I guess we've just grown too different across the years. When you came after me, I guess you expected to find a very different person. We parted ways so long ago that I guess your memories of me became foggier and more idealized than reality. Or perhaps I just became shittier with time. You're just starting college and having plenty of cool activities and new experiences; I'm finishing college and am mostly full of it. You're so politically engaged and enthusiastic; I'm a disillusioned anarchist who has lost his faith in mankind's ability to manage itself without government but not his belief that anything else is unacceptable. Most of what I do is uninteresting or unintelligible to anyone outside my specialties. You missed me and came after me; I left you and many others in the past and had no interest in going back."
She remained silent. He kept the silence for a quarter of a minute.
"I'm really sorry", he said. And firming one foot on the ground, he leaped up into the dark sky.
"Treze", respondeu ela, telegraficamente.
